Ammonia air-cooled chiller debuts at Chillventa 2024

J & E Hall will be exhibitied at Chillventa once again this year, showcasing HallScrew single screw technology including our compressor, compressor packs and chillers.

For the first time we revealed our new concept ammonia chillers using HallScrew semi-hermetic compressors. Designed to maximise cooling capability and reliability and minimise operating cost, the latest low charge air-cooled ammonia chiller from leading refrigeration equipment supplier J&E Hall will offer a wide range of cooling capacities and outstanding operation in a variety of working conditions.

This will make it ideal for a host of applications including for cold store cooling between -18°C and +15°C, for process cooling between -25°C and +7°C, and for comfort cooling. The chiller – which has been developed in collaboration with Daikin group companies – offers a host of advantages, including a simple mechanical design, developed with ease of service and maintenance in mind.

J & E Hall Technical Director Manuel Camacho said: “The use of semi-hermetic compressor design is ideal for packaged ammonia chiller systems, increasing the overall reliability and reducing maintenance requirements.”

The use of HallScrew compressor technology minimises services and maintenance costs while maximising cooling capacities. The low-noise, easy to refurbish compressor does not require motor-compressor shaft alignment or transition piece and can be serviced in-situ.
